We work with the following Local Education Agencies (LEA). A LEA is a public authority, usually a board of education, within a locality. The sole purpose of such agencies is to maintain administrative control of public schools or other state run educational institutions within their jurisdiction. Here in Virginia, we have 133 local school districts or LEAs. Currently, our project works with Regions 1 and 6 which consists of 30 individual divisions. As a result of the needs of school districts across the state and the positive outcomes of our work, we will expand to other school divisions during the upcoming year.
