The Virginia Autism Resource Center

The Virginia Autism Resource Center (VARC) is a statewide resource center dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with ASD and their families. Through integrative research, outreach and collaborative initiatives, VARC promotes and facilitates best practices. The mission of VARC is to collaborate with those who love and support a person on the spectrum to build knowledge and skills so those with ASD can live, learn and work in the natural community. VARC services fall into three general areas:
- Information
- Resources
- Education and training
With a grant from the Virginia General Assembly to help defray the cost of our services, VARC is focused on delivering the highest quality, evidence-based services to:

- Families and friends of individuals with an autism spectrum disorder
- Educators
- Related service personnel
- Infant and early childhood service providers
- Personnel of community services boards
- Medical service providers
- Group home service providers
- Residential and vocational service providers
