In this presentation, we will discuss behavior with a focus on the restrictive and repetitive patterns of behavior that are present in those with ASD.  We will also discuss patterns of behavior associated with ASD including repetitive behaviors, insistence on sameness, routines, or rituals, intense interests, and sensory input.  Because individuals with ASD often exhibit interfering behaviors such as hitting, kicking and screaming, in this presentation we also discuss interfering behavior and why interfering behavior may occur.
