Imagine if the world were a confusing kaleidoscope of color and a swirling tornado of sounds.  Imagine if the world was a circus of senses—feeling everything and nothing and somewhere in between.  This is what life can feel like for individuals with ASD.  Sensory dysfunction is arguably one of the most difficult aspects of understanding the characteristics of ASD.  In this presentation, we will discuss the sensory system, including typical sensory processing and sensory processing in the individual with ASD.
