Topic: Part I: Overview of Verbal Behavior
Presenter(s): Taryn Goodwin, M.Ed., BCBA Training Associate
The Verbal Behavior-Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP) is based on the analysis of verbal behavior. The VB-MAPP simplifies language skills into verbal operants, i.e. mand (request), tact (label), listener responding (receptive language), intraverbal (conversational skills), and echoic skills. Each of these verbal operants serves a different function for the speaker.
In this seminar, a brief overview of verbal behavior is provided. The presenters define each verbal operant and the function of each verbal operant
IMPORTANT: In order to fully benefit from this seminar, you must have a VB-MAPP protocol and manual. VCU-ACE does not provide these materials. To purchase these items, visit: www.avbpress.com
