The Verbal Behavior-Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP) is an assessment tool that provides a baseline for a student’s performance level, a starting point for programming, and a framework to guide instructional decisions.  The VB-MAPP contains five components: Milestones Assessment, Barriers Assessment, Transition Assessment, Task Analysis and Skills Tracking, and Placement and goal development.  The purpose of this assessment is to ensure student’s receive an individualized language and learning curriculum.

In this seminar, a brief overview and purpose of the VB-MAPP is provided.  This is followed by a case example showing how the VB-MAPP is used with a student with ASD.
