Virtual Learning Community in Autism

ACE-VLCAs bridge the gap between theory and application, to promote positive outcomes for autistic students. A learning community is a space where individuals come together to build knowledge and skills through collaboration. Through a blend of self-paced online activities and weekly Zoom sessions, you'll gain:

Virtual Learning Community in Autism on Social Communication

Join us for the Virtual Learning Community in Autism (VLCA) to discuss topics related to the evidence-based practice of social communication instruction! In this four-week series, participants will explore the topic of social communication instruction to effectively support a person with autism.

VLCA for Early Childhood: Instruction

Looking to boost motivation, engagement, and participation when facilitating instruction in your preschool schedules and daily routines? Join us for an interactive learning community designed to empower early childhood educators in using differentiated and systematic instruction for young learners with autism.

VLCA for Early Childhood: Instruction is a four-session series that provides practical and proactive instructional strategies, helpful resources, and opportunities for collaboration. Together, we'll explore ways to strengthen planning, implementation, and progress monitoring of instruction to create meaningful learning opportunities for all children.

Can I earn recertification points for participation?

Points for educators working towards licensure renewal (recertification) may be awarded for completion of this activity. Certificates of completion will be sent to all individuals who successfully complete these hours, documenting participation and successful participation.

Is there a cost to participate?

There is no cost to participate for professionals and paraprofessionals in Virginia. At this time, we cannot accept registrations from individuals who do not work in the Commonwealth of Virginia's School Systems.
